The aim of Night Plate is to minimize the damage. Another treatment method, even described as the most important method, is performed with a device integrated into the nerves that govern the jaw muscles. This device is placed on the patient’s jaw muscles while lying down at night. The device checks how many times the jaw is clenched at night. In this way, the jaw clenching problem is diagnosed and its severity is determined. The other method is to eliminate the tension in the jaw by applying botox to the massater muscle and trying to reduce the intense pressure on the teeth and jaw made by the muscles there. It is an extremely short and effective method. It has an effect lasting approximately 8 months.
